7:30am meetings

Friday:

Me: “The client said he wanted to start the meeting at 7:30am?”

Partner: “That’s right. Be sure to get here early.” Read: “to make coffee for us, copies and such.”

Me: “Monday morning?”

Partner: “Yes.”

What kind of client sets up a meeting at 7:30am Monday morning?

I’ll tell you: the type of client that doesn’t show up at the meeting until 9:00am.

You stole sleep from me. I am billing you that hour-and-a-half.

My mind and my time are my merchandise; don’t make me say this twice.

If you come to my office or call me on the phone, I am billing time.

If I think of you while I am alone, I am billing time.

If you’re late for appointments… I will be waiting… and billing time… still billing time.
